Thomas M. Walsh

Thomas M. Walsh, 87 Thomas M. Walsh, 87, of Audubon formerly of Media, died May 27 at the Meadows of Shannondell. Mr. Walsh was born in Linwood to Patrick and Elizabeth (nee Madden). He graduated from Archmere Academy in 1944. He attended the University of Delaware and was drafted into the Army and then returned to graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering. He received his MBA from Drexel University. He married Joan (nee Carr) in 1954 who died in 2003. He worked for several aerospace companies and did work on the international space station and was published in several professional journals. Mr. Walsh retired from Northrop Grumman. He was an avid stamp and coin collector and enjoyed the Jersey Shore. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brother James Walsh. Survivors: He is survived by his sons Thomas Jr. (Laurie) of Suffolk, VA, Dennis (Valerie) of Boulder, CO, Terrence (Jana) of Worcester and 5 grandchildren. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. in Nativity BVM, Church Franklin and Monroe Sts. in Media. Friends may call at the Church from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Interment: Calvary Cemetery.
