William Bockius Obituary

William D. Bockius, 77, of Ridley Park, died September 27, 2012 at Taylor Hospital.
Born in Ridley Park, son of the late John and Lillian Brady Bockius, he lived in Sharon Hill prior to moving to his late residence 45 years ago.
William was a graduate of Sharon Hill High School where he played on the football team. He was most recently employed as a Court Officer by the County of Delaware and had previously worked as a photo engraver at Triangle Publications.
William enjoyed watching sports and playing golf. He was a history buff, and enjoyed watching the history channel. Most important was his devotion to his home and family.
He was brother of the late Lillian Short and uncle of the late Janie Taggert.
Survivors: his wife Anna R. Hughes Bockius; father of William D. Bockius, Jr., Thomas J. Bockius, and Mary E. Kingsborough (Nick), grandfather of Nicholas, David, and Elizabeth Kingsborough; brother of Kathleen Brown, Betty Smith and John Bockius, also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy: 10:30 AM Tuesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078
Visitation: after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home
Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
Memorial Gifts: to the Bockius Family c/o the funeral home
