William W. Carroll

William W. Carroll, 78, of Woodlyn, died on March 3, 2023. Born in Chester and raised in Brookhaven, he was son of the late Walter J., Jr. and Alice Ryan Carroll. William was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1963 and Widener University. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy. William was last employed as a professor at Delaware County Community College and had previously taught in the New York State Education System. He was a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his son, David J. Carroll (late Joan), his grandsons Steven W. and David J. Carroll, Jr., his sisters Susan Moses (Bill) and Nancy Frank (Peter), a sister-in-law Donna Carroll and he was brother of the late Michael J. Carroll, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service 12 noon, Friday March 10, 2023 at Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078, where relatives and friends may call after 11 AM. Burial private.
