Daniel Dean Carper, 45 of Delaware passed away unexpectedly Thursday April 6, 2023. Born March 24, 1978, in Cobleskill, New York, the eldest son to Terry Dean and Patricia J. (Nasby) Carper.
Daniel attended Buckeye Valley High School, while there he was an active member in 4-H, he was a Junior Fair Leader, and showed Beef Cattle at the Delaware County Fair. Daniel was also a member of the marching band, playing Trumpet and the Drums. Daniel graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 1996.
Daniel is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Larry Dean Carper, mother Patricia J. Carper, and brothers Douglas and David.
Left to cherish his memory are his father Terry Dean (Jane) Carper; paternal grandmother Elizabeth Ann Carper; sister-in-law Jennifer Carper; nieces, nephews, friends and supporters.
Daniel had some challenges throughout his life with his feet, having several surgeries to try to fix them. He was not steady on his feet, but this disability did not set him back from his passion and what he loved to do, which was cooking. Daniel was a chef for some of the area restaurants and was a proud graduate from the Pittsburgh Institute of Culinary Arts.
When he wasn't in the kitchen he enjoyed being in the outdoors, whether it be fishing, gardening, hiking or camping. He loved being in the country and on the farm every chance he got.
Private graveside services will be conducted at Greenmound Cemetery in Kilbourne. Memorial services celebrating Daniel's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Daniel's honor may be directed toward the Buckeye Valley Band Boosters, 679 Coover Road, Delaware, OH 43015.
