Edward A. Bischoff, age 91, passed into His Glory Land Aug. 4, 2025. Born May 3, 1934, to Charles Edward Bischoff and Helen Hinkle Bischoff.
A life-long resident of the Columbus, Powell and Delaware areas. A Civil Engineer, he was a proud graduate of Ohio State University and member of Triangle Fraternity.
Survived by wife of 45 years, Terri Norris. Children David (Patty), Pam (Tom), Doug (Yasel), Amy, Jeff, Heidi (Lee) and honorary daughters Mary, Chris and Jawanna. Grandchildren Nicole, Lee, Molly, Mathew, Nathan, Derek, Evan, Yalissa, Holly, Nikolas, the late Brittany, Jake, Jeb, Bryson, Darien and MiaKate. Great-Grandchildren and many friends, as well.
Active Engineer and owner of his own engineering firm, member of multiple school boards and military groups. He believed every young person should be in the military! He treasured his 28+ years in the Air Force and Air National Guard, reaching the rank of Lt. Col. His passion was working with young people—many from his beloved Delaware Area Career Center which he helped build into what it is today. Past President of OSBA, Ohio School Boards Association. Loved his Koinonia Church—his faith was very important to him. Gave the world's best hugs! Loved by so many. Enjoyed talking one's ear off with his stories! Knew no strangers. Easy Ed will be missed dearly. If he touched your life, you were truly blessed!
Rutherford Funeral Home, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Road), Powell, OH 43065. Visitation: Friday, Aug. 15 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Service to follow: 11:30 a.m.-noon. Followed by Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware.
Donations may be made to Delaware Area Career Center, 4565 Columbus Pike, Delaware, OH 43015, Attn: Chris Bell. Make checks payable to DACC with Student Assistance Fund in memo. Donations welcome at any military organization.
