DELAWARE — James "Jimmy" Norman Covrett, 65, of Delaware passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, November 8, 2021.
He was born February 22, 1956 in Delaware to Norman and Phyllis (Boring) Covrett and graduated from Marysville High School.
A truck driver for many years, Jimmy attended Eastside Mission Church in Delaware and was a member of the Delaware Redman Lodge. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Left to cherish his memory are his son William James "BJ" Covrett of Delaware; his mother Phyllis Covrett of Delaware; granddaughter, Faith Covrett; brothers, Michael (Sherry) Covrett of Raymond and Allen Covrett of Delaware; sisters, Diane Burns of Mechanicsburg and Debbie Covrett of Delaware; numerous nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father and his son Thomas Raymond Covrett.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 1–3 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware, where celebration of life services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Akers officiating.

Jimmy always seemed like a gentle soul. Very soft spoken and very kind. This was such a terrible tragedy and should have never happened. Jimmy's family has all our prayers through this very difficult time. God Bless each and every one of you. Let your great memories of him keep you going with a smile. That's what he would want
