Barbara Raymond Obituary

Barbara Raymond

SALISBURY-Barbara Price Raymond passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013. Barbara was the fourth child of Blanche Alford North and Dr. J. Thomas Price, Ph.D., known regionally as the Wayside poet. She graduated from East New Market High School.

She married Dover native James H. Raymond Jr. on New Year's Day and the couple later relocated to the Seaford area to get closer to Jim's employment at DuPont. Jim retired from DuPont and departed peacefully in January 2006. Barbara was employed by Peninsula Methodist Homes and retired as an accountant at the Methodist Manor House. Following retirement, they moved to Salisbury and traveled extensively to Canada, Mexico, Florida, Texas and the North Carolina coast.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by three brothers, Martin Price, James Price, and Wilson Price; and two sisters, Elizabeth P. Parsons and Rita P. Kline. She is survived by a son, Dr. James H. Raymond III and a daughter, Margaret R. Barrueta; two grandchildren, Erik Cox and Jamie Raymond; nephews, Dr. Robert Kline, William Price, Fred Price, David Bell; and one special niece Kay Neal.

Barbara was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She has left the surly bonds of Earth to join her family in the next world. Deeply, deeply missed.
