JAMES SHARPE Obituary
COLUMBIA, S.C. — James Michael Sharpe Jr., 18, departed this life Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Columbia. He was born Dec. 9, 1992, in Easton to Michael and Sharone Sharpe.
"Mike-Mike," as he was affectionately called, began his childhood education at St. Michaels Elementary School. After moving to Salisbury, he attended Bennett Middle School and Parkside High School. In 2009, Mike-Mike relocated to Columbia, where he attended Eau Claire and Dreher High until his passing. He was a senior and was expected to graduate May 2011.
Mike-Mike was a member of the wrestling team. He enjoyed working outdoors with his Uncle Michael, and later in South Carolina with Mrs. Balluo.. Michael never met a stranger; he called everyone a friend. Michael's strength was the fact that he could see and recognize good people, no matter what their physical form or how the rest of the world saw them. Michael truly believed in the inherent good nature of people. He will always be remembered for his bright smile and big hugs.
In addition to his parents, he leaves to mourn one sister, Tiyana Camper; two brothers, Rashon and Cameron Seven Sharpe; maternal grandparents, William Camper Sr. and Faith Holliday-Cabarrus (Percell); paternal grandparents, James E. Sharpe and Barbara Jones; paternal great-grandmother, Lela Horne; three aunts, Francena Morris (Antoine), Natasha Sands and Tylesha McClease; three uncles, William Camper Jr. (Kelly), Leroy Jones (Annie) and John Paul Wise; a nephew, Brayden Camper; and a host of great uncles, aunts, cousins and very close friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Holliday, and paternal grandmother, Martha White.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Union United Methodist Church, 100 Fremont St. in St. Michaels, with a viewing Thursday evening 6-8 at the church. Interment will be in Charles Thomas Memorial Cemetery.

Hey, Best Friend just wanted to say your gonna be missed a-lot. I remember when we went to Eau Claire together had good times on the Wrestling Team. RIP Best Friend you are for ever missed !

Miike..I dont no where to start.. You were a person that nobody can replace. I first met you early this year at DHS,who knew that our small task for student council would lead to the beautiful friendship we had. I guarantee that theres not one person that can say that they didnt like you. You had a personality that people wish to you, you didnt choosed friends by race or status but you chose by their hearts.Everyone talks about how you were the best hugger and i agree,you were.I could never frown around you and you wouldnt let that happen. Its taking me a while to except that your really gone, I miss you Miike, we all do. But i know your in a safe place and smiling down on us now. What kills me the most is that i never got the chance to say i love you..I cant wait to see you again. Save a spot for me and tell Santerrica i miss her also. I love you Miike! -Love allways LaTrelle

Miike (as our Dreher High School Kids call him) was a wonderful, warm, sweetheart of a person and will so be missed by his Dreher family. He will always have a place in our heart - he touched us all. We would like to express our sincerest sympathy to the family and I cannot count the number of prayers that have been said for you. You raised a fine young man.

I worked with Michael at Dillards in Columbia 10 years ago and he was polite and fun to be around. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
