Patricia Jester Obituary

Patricia Jester

Milford-Patricia Jester, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Delaware Hospice in Milford, DE.

Patricia was witty, energetic, full of life and courageous. In November of 2016 Patricia was diagnosed with stage IV anaplastic thyroid cancer and despite it's extremely aggressive and rare nature, she fought hard to have more time with her family. She battled through 36 radiation treatments, 8 chemo sessions, 4 blood transfusions and 2 surgeries.

Patricia is survived by her husband Pete Jester, her children David Jester and wife Trish Melvin, Matthew West and wife Jaculin West, Rachel Norris, Kenneth Jester, Phillip Jester and wife Elizabeth Jester, her grandchildren Alex Jester and wife Connie Jester, Kenneth Jester Jr., Ariana Jester, Logan Jester and Kingston Jester, and her great grand children Alex Michael Jester and Olivia Jester.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Angela Norris and her sister Debbie Wilkerson.

Patricia was born on September 4, 1958 in Salisbury, MD at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She attended North Salisbury School and graduated from Wicomico High School in 1976. She also attended Pillsbury Baptist College in Owatonna, MN from 1979-1982.

She moved back to Salisbury, MD and began her career working in print media and sales. She loved working and was successful in her endeavors. She worked for the Salisbury News and Advertiser, Gannett and most recently Local 360 Media. She was often the top sales representative receiving many awards for exceeding expectations.

She married Pete Jester in 1990 and the couple had a combined 6 children. Pete and Patricia were together for 29 years.

Patricia was a very outgoing and personable woman who deeply loved spending her summers with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as an amazing grandmother and a loving mother and wife.

Two memorial services will be held.
