Salisbury - Wayne R Ketterman, Sr. 58, of Salisbury, died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born on April 10, 1959 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of Rosalee Hudson Ketterman of Salisbury, MD and the late Robert C. Ketterman.

Wayne was a graduate of Wi Hi Class of 1978. He worked at Lowe's in Salisbury for 21 years in the Lumber Department, Delaware Lumber for 20 years and recently for Shone Lumber for the past 3 years. Wayne was an avid drag racer at U.S. 13 Dragway for over 40 years. He was proud of his 1965 Mustang Fastback and his 1981 Camaro racecar. He was always very particular about the condition of his cars and demanded that they stay clean. On his days off, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and watching his boys race. Another favorite pastime was with his family and friends watching his Steelers football games in his garage.

In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by his wife of 28 years, Renne Ketterman; two sons, W. R. Ketterman (Chelsea), Thomas W. Ketterman and his wife Amanda; one daughter, who he raised as his own since she was two months old, Krystle L. Owens (Bobby) all of Salisbury, MD; seven grandchildren, Rielly Ketterman, Bradley Ketterman, Blake Esham, Logan Bunting, Cameron Bunting, Ella Ketterman and Raegan Ketterman; one brother, Jerry Ketterman and his wife Cindy of Mardela; one sister, Sharon Ennis and her husband Frank of Salisbury, MD and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service officiated by the Rev. Mike Rittenhouse, will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at 3CUSA Church, 38238 Old Stage Rd., Delmar, DE. A visitation will be held at the 3CUSA Church in Delmar, Monday, January 22, 2018 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Honoring Wayne's request, the procession will go down U.S. 13 Dragway in Delmar prior to the interment in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, MD.
