Jacqueline "Jackie" Rose Meyn Renfrow was born on April 15, 1923 and passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness on April 7, 2024, just 8 days shy of her 101st birthday.
Jackie was born and raised in De Beque, Colorado, the middle of five sisters. Her parents, Rudy and Virginia Meyn, sisters, Virginia Buescher, Evelyn Paradis, Bobbie Fuoco and Joann Griffin, all predeceased her.
Jackie graduated from the Colorado State College of Education in July of 1945 and worked as a teacher. She married Melvern "Mel" Renfrow on March 6, 1947 and they were married for 52 years before his passing. Their daughter, Rena Hoefling, passed in 2022. Jackie was known to be a great cook with a fun sense of humor!
She will be missed by many. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews and their families: Susan Fuoco (Dr. Stuart) Aanes, Jeannie Fuoco (Dr. Hal) Baer, Bob (Anna Maria) Fuoco, Scott (Kim) and David Griffin and Lance Paradis.
Jackie's family would like to extend their thanks to those people who helped and befriended her during her later years.
The family would also like to thank the devoted staff at The Commons in Grand Junction, Sarah, RN and Susan, PT from Elite Care at Home in Grand Junction, Jo, RN, Mike, RN, Evan, RN and Barb, SW and HopeWest staff in Grand Junction, staff at the Center at Foresight in Grand Junction, and Dr. Aaron Moore, Dr. Jennifer Bebee, Dr. Mark Twardowski and Deb Twardowski, NP for their loving care in her final years. In addition, Jackie's family would like to thank Dr. Cifuentes and Liz, RN from the St. Mary's emergency department and Chaplain Don with St. Mary's, who made her last hours so peaceful.
Donations may be made in Jackie's name to Roice-Hurst Humane Society, 362 28 Road, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501.
Funeral services will be determined at a later date.

My dear old friend Jackie,I remember the day Fred & I got married in Tucson, we played golf! I hurt my foot so we exchanged shoes and my foot didn't hurt! You were a great lady! I will never forget you!
