Ernest Marvin Obituary

Ernest J. Marvin, 90, a resident of Deming, NM, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at New Mexico State Veteran Home in Truth or Consequences, NM.
Ernest was born on November 13, 1919 in Girard, Michigan to John Marvin and Pearl Dietz. Ernest was the youngest boy of a large family. He loved hunting, fishing, race cars, working on cars, dancing and playing cards with his family. He worked very hard and was always a dad to be proud of.
He was survived by his loving wife, Elvera L. Duhan Marvin; three daughters, Susan Honey of Morley, Michigan, Cynthia Toner of Howard City, Michigan and Lydia Braughman of Deming, New Mexico and ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and thirteen and a half great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service with full military honors will be at Terrazas Funeral Chapels-Father Stanley Hall today, Monday, August 23, 2010 at 3 p.m., with Pastor Ernie Vineyard officiating. Cremation will take place at Terrazas crematory.

The family has lost a very good man and knowing him was a great pleasure. But I know he's in a better place. Grandpa Marvin always had a story to tell. I will be praying for you grandma, for the strength you'll need to get through this. You two had a long life together and that shows the family and friends of your love.
