Robert Snow

Robert Glenn Snow, 44, longtime Deming resident passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces. He did not go quietly or without a fight as was Robert's way. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Baca's Mimbres Crematory and the family will host a private memorial service at a later date. Robert was born to Lynda Cornell and Richard Snow on July 30, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Deming High School in 1987 and worked as a prison guard for the State of New Mexico before moving on to jobs that took him outside and allowed him to work with his hands. He was a "jack-of-all-trades" and there wasn't much he couldn't do once he set his mind to it. His favorite occupation was welding, but he was also a heavy equipment operator. He will be remembered for the loud car stereos that he always worked on, his love of motor cross, tramping through the desert looking for "artifacts" and watching professional wrestling on TV. Robert was a kind man with a huge heart who had many a friend. He loved his children and his puppies, Lulu, Tricky and the Mazzer dog the most out of everything. There was never an animal or a child who didn't fall under his spell. He is survived by his wife of the home, Kathy Andrews; five children, Nicole (Blake) Moody of Fort Campbell, KY, Kari (Brad) Close of Chesnee, SC, Challen Snow of the home, Mckenzie Patterson of Deming, and Kelsie Snow of the home; three sisters, Connie (Eddie) Terrazas of Hatch, Julie (Stacey) Hollis of Deming and Jolynn (Pete Cordova) Parisi of Deming; five grandchildren with one on the way. He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.
