Rumphrey, Aaron A.
Honeoye Falls: Aaron Anthony Rumphrey age 24, died February 23, 2010 in an accident in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. He was born February 6, 1986 in Mountain View, CA. Aaron was a special needs student, graduating from Pittsford-Mendon High School and was currently a student at Cobblestone Art Center in Farmington. He worked at Mendon Ponds Park through the Heritage Christian Services.
Aaron was loved by all who knew him. He was friendly, outgoing, gentle and enthusiastic. He especially loved school and work as well as camping every summer at Camp Haccamo, a camp for people with special needs. He also loved to go bowling and softball every week with his parents. He touched everyone who met him with his smile and warm heart.
Aaron is survived by his loving mother and step father, Lisa and Robert Withers of Honeoye Falls; his older brother, Anduin Withers (Jackie Reed); sisters, Naomi (James) Withers Spickler, Brieanna Rumphrey (Mathew Douglass), Lauralee (Miklos) Vegvari; grandparents Fredrick Martin (Joyce Herzer); aunts, Kathleen Rizzo (David Baluta), Rebecca (William) Poston; uncle, David Martin; cousins, Nicholas Rizzo, Thomas Rizzo, Julie (Ben) Coir, Elizabeth Louise and William Poston.
Born and raised in California, Aaron is also survived by his father and stepmother, Richard and Stacy Levesque; stepsister, Jessica Levesque and grandfather, Richard Rumphrey: aunts, Michele (Randy) Lawson, Laurie (Donnie) Sigrist, Rhonda (William) Moisan, Toni (Dennis) Provencher and many cousins.
Friends may call Friday, March 5, 2010 from 4-8 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 6, at 2 pm at the United Methodist of Honeoye Falls, 31 East Street. Burial, Honeoye Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Cobblestone Arts Center, 1622 State Route 332Farmington, NY 14425 or the Heritage Christian Services, 349 W. Commercial St., East Rochester, NY 14445. I am a counselor at Camp Haccamo. I always looked forward to the week Aaron would be at camp. He was always able to bring a smile to my face. He will be missed this summer...
