Beatrice Hockenbrough Obituary
Fairport: Passed peacefully Sunday, September 9, 2012 at age 89. She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Earl and brother, Donald Calkins. She is survived by her children, Susan (James) Latoy, Karen (David) Stoddard, Elaine (Ralph) Acresti; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Beatrice was employed by the Penfield Central School District for several years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Fairport Baptist Home for the loving care given to Beatrice during her stay.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 14th from 11 AM- 12Noon at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd., where Funeral Services will immediately follow calling hours at 12Noon. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Fairport Baptist Home, 4646 Nine Mile Point Rd., Fairport, NY 14450 or to the American Heart Assoc., 3500 Winton Place, Rochester, NY 14623. Dear Elaine, Karen & Sue and to all of your families, Frank and I are so saddened by the loss of your mother. We are so sorry. Our deepest sympathy to all of you and your families. Mrs. Hockenbrough was a real genuine down to earth person. She had faith and was a real believer. She truly was a kindhearted good person. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Always asking how you are and always interested in what was going on. We have many fond memories of all the good times at all of the family get togethers over all the years. Each of you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers. Our sincere condolences. My sincerest sympathies at the death of your Mom. From the first time I met your Mom and Dad at The Northfield I knew how special they were. And oh, how they loved you girls! (And each other!) We were all truly blessed to have had these two gentle souls in our midst. Love to all the family.
