Fairport: Passed away on Wednesday, March 16th, at the age of 101. She was born in Alepoxori, Greece. Predeceased by her parents, Evangeli and Sophia Sakellariou and 10 siblings. She is predeceased by her husbands, Nicholas Sarantis and Michael Dovolos. Cleo is survived by her daughter, Catherine S. Vangellow; grandchildren, Steven G. Vangellow of Dobbs Ferry, NY, Nicole S. Schneller, Deborah S. Vangellow of Houston, TX and Stephanie Hughes; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Alyssa Schneller and Cassandra Vangellow; brother, Dr. Sophocles E. Sakellariou of Chicago, IL; step-daughters, Mary Johnson, Christine Finnick and Nancy Salish; several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, love of family, friends and community. The family expresses gratitude to the Fairport Baptist Home 3G staff for the care and love given to Cleo while she resided at the facility.

Friends may call Sunday, March 20th, 3-4 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.) where a Trisagion Service will be held at 4 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 21st, 10:30 AM at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 962 East Avenue, Rochester. Father Anthony Cook officiating. Interment at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Fairport Baptist Home, 4646 Nine Mile Point Road, Fairport, NY 14450. Dear Kathy and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was the nurse at the doctor's office for many years and have great memories of your Mom. She was a lady of strong convictions. We enjoyed many laughs over the years. She would always tell me I had better stop and see her in her home in Canandaigua before she died. That was 20 years ago ! As I was leaving she gave me a beautiful hand made afgan. I treasure it to this day.
