Ellen and Family: Please accept my profound sympathy for the loss of Dan. Dan was very focused and intense about what he did for other people, both professionally and as a volunteer. He truly left a mark with friends and with the community. I regret my inability to attend the memorial service, but I will be thinking of you at that time.

Janda, Steve, Ellen and rest of the family. My vivid memories are the times Janda would invite me as a guest to go skiing at Hunt Hollow. Your Dad was ever the sportsman, swishing down those slopes, and we would all enjoy the lodge times after sharing a glass of wine and having several good laughs especially as either Janda or myself would relive one of our more "gracious" falls we took on the slopes that day. Your Dad was very adventurous and quite the outdoorsmen. A quality that I see in Janda and Steve all the time, embracing each and every day with a "Joie de vivre". His spirit shines ever so brightly down on you all. With love, Meg Shepler
