David Mancini Obituary
Victor: December 3, 2013 at the age of 89. Predeceased by parents, Daniel and Ancilla Mancini; sister, Clara Frati; brother, Bill Mancini. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Rose; children, Dave, Cheryl (Chuck) Drake, Bob (Beth), Steve (Carolina); grandsons, Matthew, Christopher, Kevin; granddaughters, Meaghan, Kristy, Julia, Daniella, Marissa; brother, Joe; nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Dave was a beloved and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who will be missed but also remembered fondly. Dave was a proud Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the Pacific Theatre. Dave was an avid artist, writer, tennis player and student of history with an extraordinary passion for life.
Family and friends are invited to call at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South) on FRIDAY from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be celebrated on SATURDAY, 11AM in the Interfaith Chapel at Miller's. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105). I was crushed to hear David had died. He was one of the sweetest, most talented people I know. I can only imagine him painting new colors in heaven right now. I sent my heart felt condolences to his family.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 10 years of working with Dave at Monroe Litho. He was the easiest sales person there that I dealt with as production manager. A true gentleman.

My deepest sympathy to Dave's family and freinds. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Dave as a fellow veteran. He was an exceptional man who was kind, talented and very proud of his family. Dave was truly a poster boy for the "Greatest Generation". I know his spirit will live on in those he touched. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Mancini, I was given a copy of his Lost Diary, his very gripping account of his wartime experiences, by his son, Dave Mancini. Dave, my condolences to you and your family.
