Lynn and Family,
I just wanted to say again, what a pleasure it was to work with and know Dennis as a co-worker and a friend. Countless hours were spent talking "Fire Stuff". My wife Ruth met Dennis at the 25 year dinner at Kodak, and thought he was even nicer in person than when she talked to him on the phone. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered as a true friend.

Dear Lynnie, Justine & Jarod,
Lynnie I willalways remember the way you two would look at each other it was a bond that very few ever find you and your kids were truly blessed with a great man at the head of your home. Dennis made everyone he came in contact with feel as though they mattered, he was truly a gift to all of us who new him from GOD. But Dennis will never leave us fully, whenever you see a rainbow its Dennis saying hi, whenever you feel the warm rain on your face its Dennis kissing you, whenever you feel the gentle breeze threw your hair its Dennis' hands caressing you, when you're driving home at night and you see the flickering of a street light its Dennis saying goodnight. Teen and Jarod your dad was a Great man and he was truly proud of you both. Well guys your husband and Dad stole a piece of my heart a long time ago He was Awesome and he will be missed dearly I love you all and you will be in my prayers forever, if you need me just say the word Love xxxooo

To all the Bateman Family,
We just learned this afternoon that Dennis had passed from this life into the next life. We send our love and sympathy to all of you. I have wonderful memories of Dennis as we grew up in Byron as cousins. Dennis was always so full of fun and such an outgoing person. At the family reunion two years ago he greeted us with a big hug just like he always did years ago. We are so sorry to learn this sad news and will keep all of you in our prayers.

To the Bateman family:
My prayers are with you. Dennis was in my prayers everyday since I heard he was sick. He was a wonderful person and always so happy! I am sure he brought happiness to everyone he touched. I have fond memories of the 1970's and Dennis on the dance floor, catching up with him on the expressway on the way home from Kodak and then running into him at Lynn's dad's office. He will never be forgotten.

Dear Lynn,
Deb and I both new Dennis from different times. Deb remembers him from when she was young and her father Gus new Dennis's Father on the farm. Gus helped them fix there equipment. I met Dennis at Kodak along time ago and as time went on I got to know him more. He was always in a good mood and made me laugh. After awhile I wouldn't see him as much, but when I did he would always hug me and pick me up off the ground. He was a Kind Soul and a Gentile Giant among men and women. He will truly be missed by many many people. Our thoughts and prayers will be for you and your children.
Love Bob and Debbie Arthmann.

Wow!!! Den do you know how much you are loved? You will be sadly missed by sooo many people that you have touched. I will always remember how you would call Lynnie every day at work and some days you just couldn't figure out if it was morning or afternoon. So you started off by saying "Gello". Boy have I used that saying many times. I also remember the day you, Lynn and Justine helped me move. Den, you took such great pleasure in moving my guest towels in the bathroom. Everytime I would fix them you would be back in the bathroom messing them up. I was so thankful for your help but glad to see you go!!! I have so many wonderful memories of you that I will never forget. You, my dear, are a true gentle giant that will be sadly missed by so many people all across the nation. I say that because where ever you went, you ran into someone you knew. You and Lynn have had such a wonderful life with your beautiful children and grandchildren. I pray that more people will know the true meaning of "love, honor, and cherish until death do you part" by reflecting on your spectacular life with your best friend and wife. Be my guardian angel my friend...you are my reason to fight even harder to cure this disease. I love you all and remember when you are feeling like you can't go on, just know that Den is right there by your side giving you the love, strength and support that you need.

Dear Lynn and Family -- I knew Dennis from Kodak, and I was even more fortunate because he became a true friend. It was always good to see his smiling face, and he was always quick to share the latest photos of his "beautiful wife and children". He was a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are being sent to your entire family at this time of sorrow.

My dear Lynnie, Jared and Justine,
I told Denny while sitting with him recently how proud I have always been to have such an incredible brother-in-law and what an honor it has been to witness the absolute love he has for my sister, and what an amazing husband and father he has always been. I will always love Dennis and will be forever thankful for his gift of himself to our family. I love each of you very much and I pray a prayer of gratitude for Dennis being in my life and that time will eventually ease your pain. We will all miss him...and when I do, I will be blessed with one of countless wonderful memories of laughter we shared together. God bless you, my strong beautiful sister and kids. I love you.

To the Bateman Family:
I knew Dennis from his days at Kodak. For many years as fellow Genesee County Residents, we would compare notes on our respective communities. I remember him very proud of his kids and very dedicated to his community through the Fire Dept. He always had a smile, a joke or something to brighten your day. He was missed at Kodak and now will be missed much more broadly. Our thoughts are with the family.
