Doris O'Hara Obituary

O'Hara, Doris N. (Northup)

Webster: June 2, 2012 at age 85. Born in Sodus, NY. Predeceased by her sister, Dorothy A. Miller. She is survived by her husband of 50 yrs., William O'Hara; son, Jonathan O'Hara; daughter, Jennifer O'Hara (Christopher Weiler) of Easton, PA; grandchildren, Mackenzie O'Hara, Max, Annie, George Weiler; brother, J. Richard (Patricia) Northup of MA; nephews, David (Jill) Miller of Skaneateles, NY, Richard Miller of Binghamton; brother-in-law, Robert Awe of Texas. Her radiant smile and cheerful disposition will be missed by all who knew her.

Doris was a graduate of West High School, State University of Brockport, and attended University of Colorado. She was an avid sailor and skier, long time member of both the Rochester and Canandaigua Yacht Clubs, a Charter Member of the Hunt Hollow Ski Club, long time member of the Mendon Pony Club, and lover of animals. She was a Legal Secretary at Harris Beach and Co-owner of Orbakers Drive In, Williamson, NY.

A Celebration of her life will be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Humane Society at Lollipop Farm, 99 Victor Rd. Fairport NY 14450 in Doris' name. To share a memory or photo of Doris visit www.anthonychapels.com.

Dory,
We remember when we were engaged on the dock at RYC. Dory came by and said "Where did you get that ring...from a cracker-jacks box?" We allways kidded her about that. Worth a lot of laughs. We will miss you, Dory!
