Ernest Orgar Obituary
Medina: Ernest J. "Ernie" Orgar, 67, of Medina, NY, journeyed into heaven while his family sang gospel songs to him, on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home. Born on May 12, 1945 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Alfred J. and Molly (Giarrizzo) Orgar. Ernie grew up in Irondequoit, NY and attended Alfred Tech for 2 years. He married the former Barbara Ingraham on July 10, 1965, together making their home in Medina. Ernie owned and operated the former Muchow's Florist/Greenhouse, retiring in 2005. He was active in community service as Deputy Mayor and Trustee of Medina. He enjoyed gardening and singing in church choirs and groups. At one time Ernie served as Deacon and Song Leader for his church. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church of Albion.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Orgar; four children, Bonnie (Daniel) Findlay of Minnesota, Penny (David) Hurlbert of Albion, Ernest "Butch" (Lisa) Orgar Jr. of Albion, Mark (Vicki) Orgar of Hornell; four grandchildren, Joel, Savannah, Destini, Charles; a great-granddaughter, Haydee; two brothers, James (Linda) Orgar of Rochester, Wayne Orgar of California and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Victory Baptist Church, 3713 Clarendon Rd. Albion, NY 14411 with the Pastor, Rev. Daniel Milroy officiating.
Memorials may be made in Ernie's name to: Orchard Manor Nursing Home, 600 Bates Rd. Medina, NY 14103

Ernie was one of my best friends in church in rochester at west side.
I had many wonderful visits with him and his family at their farm and green house on ridge road.
