Harvey Kaye Obituary
Fairport: On September 28, 2012, passed into the peaceful realms. Survived by his beloved of 24 years, Kathleen Davis Wheaton; his brothers, Leonard Kaye (Nancy Smith) of CA, Sidney (Karen) Kaye of CT and Charles (Maureen) Kaye of AZ. Also survived by mother-in-law Doris Davis of NJ; sister-in-law, Norma Carter of Rochester; and many other Kaye and Davis family relations from around the country. Predeceased by his son, Joseph Lawrence Kaye.
Born and raised in the Boston, MA area. Lived in Fairport for the past 20 years. Harvey, a graduate of MIT, was president of his own successful technical consulting business for more than 35 years, an award winning professor of mechanical engineering at UMass Amherst, a published author, accomplished ice dancer and classical guitarist. Harvey will be remembered for his avid interest in people, his quirky sense of humor and his gentle, compassionate nature.
Private burial. A Celebration of Harvey's Life will be held in late October.
