Jeanne Read Obituary
Honeoye Falls - Passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 after her 28 year battle with cancer. Survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Lee, son, Chad (Giselle), grandsons, Cooper & Dylan Read, brothers, Dr. John (Gale) Sauter & Bruce (Linda) Sauter, niece, nephew, and many dear friends.
Community was a large part of Jeanne's life. She was a compassionate caregiver in the Fairport/Perinton community through her involvement in SOFI, as well as being a gracious hostess at the family business, Read's Ice Cream store in Henrietta.
A Funeral Service will be held this Saturday at 10 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Pittsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Senior Options for Independence (SOFI) C/O Fairport Baptist Homes, 4646 Nine Mile Point Rd., Fairport 14450 or Advent House, 1010 Moseley Rd., Fairport 14450. Lee and Family,
So very very sorry to hear that Jeanne had lost her battle. She was one of the finest people our family has known. We went to the store because we didn't have a way to get in touch only to find it closed.
Thus we didn't know she was gone since we cancelled our newspaper at Christmas time. If we had known, we certainly would have been there.
We have had a lot of good memories with Jeanne especially in your early days of dating! You had a great sense of humor and she always laughed at that. Regards to you and your family.
