Pittsford: Peacefully in her sleep on July 26, 2011. Predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Sheridan. Survived by her husband, Bill; children, Diane Burden, Bill Sheridan III, Laurie (Brian) Zackey, Beth Doherty (Matthew Pavel); grandchildren, Emily, Kim, Abigail, Brian, Robbie, Jimmy and Katie; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces & nephews Friends may call Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Friday 10 AM at Guardian Angels Church, 2061 E. Henrietta Rd. Interment Pittsford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Lifetime Care, Hospice of Rochester, 3111 Winton Rd. South, Rochester 14623. I said goodbye to Joan but it was a privilege to have been involved in her "second career". I will always remember our MANY conversations on a variety of topics but mostly about our families. Her stories were always funnier than mine and I loved watching her face as she talked about her children and grandchildren and the pride she had in all their exploits and accomplishments.

The world has too soon lost a truly wonderful lady. It was my pleasure to work with Joan for many years and I miss her very much. I would like to extend my condolences to her family and friends.
