John J. a man of many people skills, and grandfather like, ease in dealing with life's thrills and challenges. Our whole family has been guided and counseled by this giant of a man. He had been with us and our many family and business dealings, always giving the most heartfelt and yet constructive guidance in every facet of our lives. You will be sorely missed Sparky. We will miss his friendship, his wisdom and his humor as will all the members of the O'Brien family. Unfortunately we were out of town for his service but our hearts were with the Considine and the Mooney family as they celebrated the life of this wonderful man.

Dear Sarah and Mark,
Your dad was a sweet guy. His wicked sense of humor came through loud and clear in the first paragraph of the obituary. As you know, we had a long history with the Considine - Mooney clan. Please accept our condolences.

The Considine Family remains one of my favorite memories of my teaching days at Our Lady of Lourdes School. That family was so special. I taught son, Tom; daughter, Sarah, and knew son, Kevin. I loved Joyce and John mainly because they loved their children so much. It showed!! My sincere condolences to all of the family. I am so happy that he escaped the 2016 election. That was priceless!. My love to all. Sister Rita Jongen

The gracious owl of the local bar. Time with John was never wasted. His words well chosen, deeds well meaning. Rest as peacefully as you lived.
