Webster/Port Charlotte: Suddenly on March 21, 2017. Joe is predeceased by his father & mother Samuel J. & Carmella (Zarcone) DiJune. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 62 years Gracy A. (Viterise) DiJune; children, Hollis (Brian) Downes & Samuel J. DiJune; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jeff) Waterman, Kathryn (Ryan Humphris) Downes, J. Michael DiJune and Samuel J. DiJune Jr. In addition, he will be dearly missed by Carolyn (Sam) Tornatore, Kathy (Ed) DiGabriele, Kathy (Jack) Fleming and Mary Lou DiJune; one aunt; several nieces, nephews & cousins. Joe was a proud Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. As owner of DiJune's Liquor he was the 3rd of 4 generations to own and operate a business located in the 10th ward.
Joe's visitation will be Thursday, March 30, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). Joe's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday March 31, 9 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Parkway, immediately followed by his Entombment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a contribution to the charity of your choice.

Gracy, Holly, and Sam so very sorry for your loss. I am also sorry that I cannot be with you and the family to share and hear all the wonderful stories about this great man.
