Joseph Oette Obituary

Oette, Joseph A.
Brighton: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his brother Charles G. Oette, sister Rita Slattery and his dogs Lassie 1 and Lassie 2. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley; sisters-in-law, Marie Oette and Viola Migliore; brother-in-law, Joseph (Ruth) Klingler; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joseph was a Navy veteran of WWII, during which time he served on the U.S.S Pillsbury which captured U Boat 505 on June 4, 1944. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 100.
His family will receive friends Thursday 3-7pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family Friday 9:30am at St. Thomas More Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Association For The Blind And Visually Impaired, 422 South Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 or Lifetime Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Road S., Rochester, NY 14623.
