Josephine Palozzi Obituary
(Bonafede) "Joie"
Irondequoit: Joie went home to the Lord on December 3, 2016 at age 90 and was reunited with the love of her life Vincent "Bimps". Beloved mother of John, Laurie Ortiz, Vinnie and Alan; also leaves son-in-law, Anthony Ortiz and granddaughter, Sarah; sister, Mary Ricci; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela Bianchi, Joseph Palozzi and Louis (Lee) Palozzi; cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends from Christ the King Prayer Group. Special thanks to all her care-givers at the Friendly Home, Morgan Place. She was a proud alumna of Our Lady of Mercy H.S., Class of 1944. She will always be remembered for her loving generosity and her deep faith in Christ.
Calling hours will be Thursday (TODAY) 4-8PM at Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Rd. (near Norton). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10AM at Peace of Christ Parish at St. James Church. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Covenant House on-line at www.covenanthouse.org or sent to 460 West 41st St., New York, NY 10036.
