Dad, I took a little time to figure out what to write and I still haven't come up with the words exactly, but here goes. You were my first hero, my first idol, and I never questioned your love for me. The older I get the more I understand the one thing you have always consistently told me, "let your conscience be your guide". I will never forget it, nor will I ever forget your smile and warmth. Something tells me that you lived with regrets...what I hope you understand is that there are no regrets, only the love between a father and his son. No matter what Dad, I always have and will always love you and miss you. I do hope you are finally at peace, without pain, and are laughing. It is always the best medicine....
-Your son Matt

How I loved that blonde, curly haired, red faced cutie. Mike and I had a special friendship in school. In the late 80's, he finally asked me out. If only it weren't for certain circumstances, who knows. I will truly miss Mike and I hope he is finally at peace. All my love and sympathies to John and the family.

Dear Mike,
...you and I were inseperable back then - like a shadow, you were. I couldn't get away from you, and now I'm grateful for that today.
I close my eyes and see this little white-blonde boy running across a field of yellow dandelions, or in and out of orchards. You were a firecracker, full of life, laughter and shenanagans!
...and I'm so glad you always got the last slice of Spam.
We had many an argument - we had little in common as we grew...it's so true that we hurt the one's we love.
I love you, Mike...always have and always will!
...angels.

My family lived next door to Mike & Sheryl in the late 70's. We had great "chats" around their kitchen table with the whole gang. The Bower sense of humor and their kind hearts made great memories.God Bless you all and know that Mike is resting in peace.

Uncle Joe,
You were a one man army fighting the fight for life. There were so many good times, countless laughs and memories. "The best tool in the kitchen are your hands" is what you would remind me when we whipped up hot sauce or your delish pizza. My heart wants to be sad but the memories you've left me with won't allow it. I'll see ya on the flip side pal.
