Michael Umansky Obituary
Rochester - At age 41, Michael passed away suddenly in his sleep on June 4, 2019. Beloved son, brother, and uncle, Michael had a big heart with room to love many. He had an incredible sense of humor and lit up a room with his outgoing and warm personality. He was a graduate of Nazareth College with a Bachelor of Science. He was a sports enthusiast, committed to his family, and a loyal friend.
Michael is survived by his parents, Dr. Ronald and Sheila Umansky; sister, Jennifer (Eric); brother, Jonathan (Kelly); nephew, Andrew & niece, Maddie.
Funeral services will be held FRIDAY, June 7th at 10 AM in the sanctuary of Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Ave. A period of mourning will be held on Friday, June 7th from 2-5 PM at Irondequoit Country Club, 4045 East Ave. In addition, the family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 8th from 7-9 PM & Sunday, June 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at 3 Pin Hook Lane in Pittsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Dear Umansky Family,
I was checking some obituary records this morning when Michael's picture jumped out at me! I don't know how I could have possibly missed word of his passing.
Needless to say, I am quite shocked and saddened and wish to extend my sincere condolences to you all.
I have nothing but great memories of Michael as a student at Allen Creek. His energy and great sense of humor still bring a smile to my face. He simply was one of those students that you never forget!

Dear Ron and Sheila,
Ron and I were devastated when we learned of the passing of your Son, Michael. While words cannot adequately express our sorrow, we do Understand because I lost my only child , Michael, in 1984. He was just shy of 14 years old. I can only say that the void in your hearts will always remain, but someday, the beautiful memories of your son will bring a smile, instead of tears. May God bless you and your family with the strength you will need to grieve your loss, and may He then bring you peace of mind and heart as the years pass. You are in my prayers.

Deepest condolences. Mike and I worked together on many projects over the years. His wonderful personality was contagious. Mike made it a point to call me Around my birthday for a cup of coffee just to stay in touch. He will be missed.
