Noah Cooley Obituary
Orange County, CA: May 13, 1982 - September 5, 2013. With profound sadness we mark the passing of our beloved Noah Bower Cooley. Noah graduated from the Allendale Columbia School, studied graphic design at Rochester Institute of Technology, and was a Graduate of the French Culinary Institute. Noah was a talented musician—a violinist, drummer, dj, and creator of electronic music. He possessed a great wit and he kept those around him laughing and happy to be in his company. He planned someday to try his hand at stand up comedy. He discovered though, that his great passion was cooking. Noah was an outstanding Chef. He worked in some of the top kitchens in San Francisco, New York City and most recently in Orange County, California. It was there that he found the outlet for his creativity and attention to detail.
Noah is survived by his parents Thomas and Patricia, his brothers Aaron and Joshua, sister Rikki, sister-in-law Hanh, and niece Lola-Rose, as well as numerous cousins and legions of friends. We all miss him desperately—his wit, his laughter, his loving warmth, and most of all his company. You left us far too soon, dear Noah. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in the name of Noah to the Center for Research on Addiction Disorders, The Rockefeller University, New York, NY.

I met Noah when I lived in Rochester after University. He was so funny, kind and humble about his talents. Above all he knew who he was and had a very open heart. Condolences to his extended family. His gifts and wit will not be forgotten.
