Norman Pfeiffer Obituary

Pfeiffer, Norman Henry

Webster and Wayland, NY: Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at age 88. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marian; children, Jane, Ann (Ward Hartenstein), Ellen (David Johnson), and Noreen (Richard Whitney); grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Logan, Shelby, Greta, and Lara; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was also active with St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wayland, NY, the Wayland Village Board, Town Board, Library Board, School Board, and Lions Club.

He was a fan of all sports, and avidly followed the Cubs.

The family wishes to thank the Cherry Ridge Community, the staff at the Transitional Care Center at St. Ann's, and the Orthopedic staff at Rochester General Hospital for their kindness and care for Norman.

Violet and I would like to express our condolences, and offer our sympathy to not just Norms family, but especially to Marian. She's such a sweetheart. Marian, I wish we could give you a big and comforting hug. But, alas, that's not to be. If you don't get down to Fl Marian, where am I going to get my jam?? Love, Ron and Violet Gort

Ann, Jane, Noreen, Ellen and Marian - my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Dad and husband. While nothing really prepares us for this day, in time, all wounds heal as the good memories come forth and ease our loss.
If I may, with regard to your Dad's service in the Navy: Here rests in honored glory an American Sailor - A Veteran, known but to his family, his friends, his comrades and God. Thank you for your service. May you rest in peace.
