Dear Mr. and Mrs. Henderson, We have never met, but my husband and I were introduced to Patrick by our daughter while we were at Caron for Family Program a few weeks ago. We were taken by his smile, his energy, and his eagerness to get back his life. We had lunch together at the cafeteria, and learned about his energy drink business. We shared ideas since we are also in the beverage industry, and laughed about going to "The Shark Tank" to move the business forward. I don't know why he touched us so much...he just seemed like a warm, wonderful human being with so very much to give. We have not been able to get him out of our minds since our daughter told us yesterday about his tragic end. Perhaps, it is because we know the agony and destructiveness of addiction. But he did touch us , and we will keep you and Patrick in our prayers.

The Untimely Passing

Where is God now that our son has been taken?
Justice and mercy have both been forsaken!
All of love's labors are gone with one breath,
All of life's hopes swallowed up by his death!

Boundless our grief, endless our tears,
Most cruel God who fulfilled our worst fears.
Who can endure such an infinite void?
Who can repair that which God has destroyed?

Who but that God to whom evil was done?
Who but a God who has lost His own son?

"May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine upon your face. And the rain fall softly on your fields. And, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand." Life is precious, and not to be taken for granted. I wish I could have known you better bud. -Kim
