To the family of Penny. I know her since we were young and graduated from Eastridge High school together. Although I haven't seen her since then I always liked her. Sounds like she went doing what she loved helping others. Your longtime friend from school.

I am very sorry to hear of Penny's untimely passing. I have thought of her lately, driving by her old street. We use to hang at her house in high school. Awesome person with a smile always ready for you. Sorry I never reconnected with her. Happy she was doing what she loved, such a selfless career. God Bless you Penny and condolences to her family.

Penny Champion
Her name says so much! She was a devoted champion for the children and families of HUGS. I had the honor of working with Penny in Guatemala and Hanoi and to me Penny was the consummate team player. My condolences to her family and friends.

I loved Penny - I considered myself lucky when she and I were in the same OR - I knew we would fly through the case!!! And laugh the whole time (a few expletives mixed into the dialogue too!!). A terrible loss for all - HUGS has really lost a faithful team member
