Philip Fay Obituary
Pittsford: Died at age 61 on June 25, 2014 at home surrounded by his wife of almost 38 years and daughters. He is survived by his father, Bertrand J. Fay (Mary F.); mother, Mary T. Fay; wife, Andrea Moody Fay; daughters, Amber Farr (Chad) and Emily Ambron (Daniel); grandchildren, Aubrey, Leah and Evan Farr and Dylan and Gabrielle Ambron; brother, Michael; mother-in-law, Maryanne Moody; many dear friends and extended family.
Phil earned his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 1982. He was a professor of Medicine and Biochemistry at the U of R. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
Friends may call Sunday, June 29, 3-6 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 30, 11 AM at St. Louis Church, 64 South Main St., Pittsford, NY 14534. Interment at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wilmot Cancer Center at www.urmc.rochester.edu/cancer or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at www.themmrf.org or Lifetime Care at www.lifetimecare.org. June 28, 2014 Goodbye Phillip we go way back to those days on Tyler Street. There are very few people in this world who I knew as long as you and your wonderful family. I feel privileged that we were able to renew our friendship. I'll always remember that fateful day I glanced up at the Wilmot Center and saw you and Andrea walking by. My condolences to your family and may you rest in peace.
