Raymond Foos Obituary

Formerly of Walworth, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 81 surrounded by family. Loving husband of 59 years to Ruth Gardner Foos; wonderful father to Debra (Chris) Handley, Peggy (Jeff) Foos, Gary Foos; daughter-in-law JoAnn Foos; 4 grandchildren Sarah (James); cousins, Eric (Tami) Plyter, Nicholas (Anthony) Foos, Danielle (Tyler) Taber; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
Predeceased by his father, Raymond Michael Foos Sr.; mother Lillian Watson Foos; brothers Jack Foos & Victor Foos; sisters Betty Powell & Althea Perry. Mike was an inventor, craftsman, poet, a teller of wonderful stories & an eternal optimist with an incredible sense of humor. He was a kind & generous man who was always willing to help anyone, family, friends & strangers alike.
Friends are invited to call Friday 4-7PM at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 1961 Ridge Rd, Ontario, where his Funeral Service will be held 10AM Saturday. Internment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Mike's name to the Oswego County Hospice (www.friendsofhospice.org/donate or Friends of Oswego County Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126) or a charity of your choice.

Our neighbors "Aunt" Ruth & "Uncle" Mike were the best I ever had. "Uncle" Mike you will be missed. You were my manly man mentor. I learned much of my mechanical abilities through watching you as a kid. You were such a kind loving man always giving and doing things for others. we will all will miss you dearly you were the best of the best. "Aunt" Ruth you have been in our prayers and we will continue to pray for you and your family. It was so nice to see you at dads 80th birthday we"re so glad you decided to come and see us.

I'm sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I worked with Ray and he was indeed everything that was said about him. He would help me every morning before doing his own work set up. He was truly a wonderful man.

Ruth: Our sympathy to you in your earthly loss. Wish we could attend services but our granddaughter, Sarah, Melodie's daughter, is having major surgery Thurs. (benign mass in adbomen). We'll be making trips to RGH. If all goes well, we plan to leave for FL 12/10, stop @Mike's in VA for weekend then go on.
