Samuel Brundage Obituary

Samuel G. Brundage

Samuel G. Brundage, Esq., passed away peacefully on August 11, 2020 in Auburn New York with family present. A Rochester native, Sam graduated from West High school, Syracuse University, then got his law degree from Cornell. He was a loyal backer of Orange sports. During his 65 years of practice (Johnson, Mullan and Brundage, PC) he was greatly respected for his honesty, work ethic, and kindness. He was predeceased by his wife, Sonja (Roettger) Brundage and survived by sons Alyn Brundage of Rochester and Brian Brundage, M.D. (Pamela Foresman, M.D.) and his grandchildren Katherine and Claire of Auburn, NY. Sam was active with many County, State and National Bar Association committees, the First Unitarian Church of Rochester (clerk), the Brighton Republican Committee and the local Syracuse Alumni Club (an SU scholarship bears his name). Sam was admitted to practice in the US Supreme Court and was a trial lawyer, practiced elder law, and served on ethics committees of the Monroe County Bar Association and St. John's Home. He was a champion of fairness and honesty, always optimistic, and very much loved by everyone he encountered. By his wishes, there will be no services.
