Sam, One of the greatest thrills of my life was when I took my son Joe and your brother Tony to New York for the Yankee World Series It was the final game and after the game as we were walking back to our hotel, we ran into you and your daughter and you were carrying a 2 foot by 2 foot patch of sod that you took from the infield near the pitchers mound. You shared it with us, and I remember planting some in Tony's lawn, my lawn, and Gordie's lawn. How many people can say that they have a piece of the Yankee stadium infield in their front lawn? We can.
You were the best, and I will miss your visits to the ARPALER office. Rest in Peace Sam, you earned your keep.

A very special and dear friend to my deceased parents. Josephine and Chuck Zaffuto. He was their best man in their wedding and they chose him to be my godfather. Years would pass between visits but he always made you feel like the most important person to him. Loved him much, prayers for his families loss. Kitty Zaffuto Cavalieri

Sam was a dear friend. He was a member of our wedding party, and when John passed away, he came from Florida to be here with the family. That was much appreciated.
My prayers are for his children and all his loving nieces and nephews.
May he rest in peace.

We miss you already Uncle Sam, but smile at all the great memories . . . family picnics, your fantastic chicken dinners with all the trimmings delivered, sitting around the table for hours at Thanksgiving and Christmas, chicken wings, bus trips to the casino, poker at Ed’s, euchre at Marks, walking the mall or canal with Uncle Prisco, Yankees, did I mention chicken wings? Family was everything to you and you were everything to us. We are comforted knowing that you are reunited with all your loved ones who greeted you at heaven’s gate. What a reunion that must be.

Love, Lou & Rosa
