Sue, Not sure what made me Google Sam this morning, But I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I'm sure he's chasing Turkeys right now in Heaven. God Bless him and you.

Sue, I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Sam's passing. I always enjoyed Sam, enjoyed his work and loved his hunting stories. The mounts he did for me will always some of my most treasured possessions, especially the flying turkey he mounted for me in 1985. It still looks like the day he delivered it, it is my prized possession.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Sam's family and friends, he is missed.

Through the many years we have been in this neighborhood, Sam was part of it's story. Fondly remembered as the neighbor, outstanding taxidermist, dedicated hunter and an interesting guy to visit with.

I knew Sam years ago when he would taxidermy all of my ex's trophies. My memory of him was his turkey named Egor, this turkey was like a pet, would follow Sam around. The next time we went there, I asked where Egor was. I was told that he "ran away". He didn't. He was dinner. So sorry to hear about Sam. I hope Egor is there with him, following him around.

So sad to hear this. Sammy did a trophy
buck wall mount for me back in the late 70's. I knew him through his brother Steve whom i went to school with. I will think of Sammy every time i look at that mount. One great guy,One great Taxidermist. Good hunting Sammy, Good hunting.
