Life goes by too quickly. I have many memories of my father. He encouraged and was involved all my sports: hockey, baseball, football, and especially wrestling. Stan was a self-made man, who worked hard to support our family and give us the best. Stan never settled for second best. He always pressed forward in tough times, and kept personal issues personal. Quick to become your friend, and always there to help. Dad, I will miss your awesome stories about your Life. Rest peacefully father.

Mrs Popen, Jeff, Dave & Steve,
Loud Road will not be the same without Mr Popen. He will be greatly missed in the old neighborhood.
Throwing the ball around in the yard, swimming in the Popen pool, feeding the beagles and listening to Stan's funky 8-track tape collection are such great childhood memories. Family dinners on Sunday afternoon will always be remembered as something special as well. One could say the Popen's are responsible for both our musical and culinary taste preferences.
I spent a lot of time at your home and always had the utmost respect for Mr Popen. We are so sorry for you loss and sorry not to be able to celebrate his life with you in person. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to you.
With Much Love,
Scott & Debbie Wild

Stan was a fellow Trap shooter who we always enjoyed being around. In later years my wife would consult with Stan on different Sarah Coventry jewelry she would find, and he and she became wonderful friends.
We will miss Stan's emails, and chats.
Stan will always be remembered by his many friends.
Our sincere condolences go out to Stan's entire family.
