Dear Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn,
My daughter, Lindsey Ruff, just gave me the sad news. We have spoken of Stephen many times over the years since Lindsey and he were in class together at Cobbles, with Lindsey providing regular updates whenever she received them. (I was just asking about him recently, because I remember that he and I shared a birthday.)
Stephen made such an impression on us, and we will always remember the strength and courage of your family...always positive and smiling even through the most difficult times. I'm sure that God is holding Stephen, Laura, and your family in the palm of his hands. God Bless You. Steven will be forever remembered by the Ruff family.
Love, Vicki, Mike and Lindsey Ruff

Dear Blackburn family,
My heart is just aching for you in your loss. Stephen was such a wonderful joy. I remember Deb talking about which book she was going to read to him each week. His smile was worth more than words could say. Please give Meredith a big hug from me. I am going to bring my lily to AZ to remember.
