Terrence Semrau Obituary
Rochester - on June 24, 2021 at 87.
Predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Froehler Semrau; father George; mother Dell; brothers Richard, Philip, Luke, and Donald; sister Esther; sister-in-laws, Catherine (Donald) Semrau, and Gay (Luke) Semrau; brother-in-laws, Robert Froehler, and James Dawson; and life-long friends Donald DePerna, and Emile Speciale.
Survived by his children, Linda (Michael) Flanagan, Philip (Catherine) Semrau, David (Susan) Semrau, Marybeth (Bart) Patton, Mark (Cindy) Semrau; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Margaret Froehler Dawson.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He lived his life as an artist, loved gardening, fishing, golfing, and enjoying his family. His quick wit and humor remained with him to his final days.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 30, 5-7:00 pm, at Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Rd. (near Norton).
A mass to celebrate his life to be held on Thursday, July 1, at 10:00 am at St. Margaret Mary's Church (401 Rogers Pkwy).

When I was in grammar school, Mr. Semrau was role model to me...he came to our school and talked about his career in illustration, and it was the first time I realized making art was something I could do. It was many, many years ago, but I still remember that day. Blessings to your family, and rest in peace, sir.

Terry...aka Mr. Semrau...was my art teacher in grade school in Lima. I later met him at Hutchins Y&R when I called on him on behalf of DeRidder Inc. What a gracious man. We so enjoyed looking at his picture in my yearbook from Lima from the 1950's! My condolences to the family, as you have lost this piece of joy in your life!

I worked with Terry at Hutchins/Y&R when I was just out of college. Terry was great to work with, and taught me a lot. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and I always looked forward to spending time with him. I remember him very fondly. My condolences to his family.
