Thomas Aratari Obituary
Webster: Suddenly February 17, 2014, age 64 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; brothers, Frank (Michele), John (Lisa); brothers-in-law, Sam (Julianna) Capezzuto, Lorenzo Marsocci; special cousin, Elizabeth Carnevale; aunt, Rosina Casciani; many nieces and nephews. Tom was the proud part owner of Aratari Auto Finishers and Rochester Auto Color.
Calling hours, Tuesday (TODAY) 3-8 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Point Road (Route 250). On Wednesday please meet the family at Holy Spirit Church for his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to the Leo Center for Caring, 1500 Portland Avenue, Rochester 14621 or Hope House, 1450 Ridge Road, Webster 14580 in his memory.

My shop was never a big account but nevertheless when Tom showed up we both had time for each other regardless of what was sold. His stories were engaging. He once showed up with an accordion, I asked if he would play. He started with Volare then I asked if he would play Hey Gumbaree. He played as I sang and we both had smiles ear to ear. He was a very special man and I miss you Tom. Rest now, Sam.

Tom was a great friend of mine, when he would come to my shop we would bust on each other about different things such as our wine we made. we would tell each other how bad each others wine was, although we made pretty good wine. I remember going to Toms house one day and he showed me his wine cellar which was quite impressive, and now today I have one of my own. Tom was a great friend and I miss him very much. RIP my dear friend.

I just learned of Tom's passing and I sincerely regret not attending his Funeral Mass. Tom and I had known each other since 1st grade at St. Cecilia's and many fine memories came to mind last night of the Aratari family.
God had given Tom the rare gift of genuine humor and from many of the recent messages, he had many friends he must have shared it with. He gave me my favorite nickname "Brownatucci". I will miss him and he will be in my prayers.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Tommy. I saw him weekly when buying supplies. I started buying from his dad (Red) back in the 60's. Tommy was a great person to know and i will miss seeing him.

So sad and shocked to hear the news of Tom's passing. Growing up, the Arataris were our neighbors across the street. Although Tom, John and Frank were older than me and friends with my older brother, I thought of them as older brothers as well. I smile at memory of when I bought my first car, Tom came walking across the street, and first words out of his mouth were "I'll get you something for that little scratch on the passenger door". It became an inside joke whenever I'd see him over the years, first words he'd say before saying hello. The words "kind soul" come to mind when thinking of him, and my thoughts and prayers are with Tom and the entire family.

We have a lot of good memories of all the fun times at Toms' parents farm in Naples, picking grapes, eating all the good homemade Italian food, etc.
We were honored to have Tom in our wedding. He looked very handsome in his tux. He always enjoyed joking around, and I would give it right back to him. Tom enjoyed a good cigar,Italian food, family and friends, and was dedicated to The Family business he shared with his brothers Frank and John. His most important accomplishment was meeting The Love of His Life, "Josephine". When Tom first introduced us to Josephine and we saw the twinkle in his eye, we knew he had found his true love. The twinkle is still there, in the form of a star in the sky shining down on you Josephine. May Jesus welcome Tom with open arms and the angels watch over you.
