Rochester: April 26, 2017 at age 68. Predeceased by his father William T. Mateer, sister Gail Perlstein, and nephew Theodore Perlstein. Survived by his daughter Margaret Mateer (Scott Randall) and son William T. Mateer III; grandson Mason Mateer; mother Jane Mateer; sister Linda Horvath; nieces and nephew: Heather (Christopher) Anschutz, Ruth (Adam) Bernstein, Melissa (Peter) Francione, and Frank Horvath.
A private service will be held.

I am fondly reminiscing about the many good times I had with Billy on my front porch at Culver road and on his boat. Billy was incredibly generous with a heart as big as all out doors. When he was your friend, you had a true friend. Bill I know how passionate you were about the game of baseball, and how close to came to the pros before the motorcycle accident took you out of the game. I hope after your dip in the waters of life you are now on deck! God's richest blessings to your family and many friends.
