William Sahmel Obituary
Fairport: May 24, 2017, age 78. Predeceased by his parents, H. Otto and Hilda. Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Arlene; children, Erika J. (Bruce) Saunders, Evan W. (Michelle) Sahmel; his step-children, Robert (Joanne) DeHaan, Lynn DeHaan, and Jane (David) Pestell; his grandchildren, Laura, Cassidy, Cameron, KayLynn, Kyle, and Jillian; his brothers, Lutz Peter (SueEllen) Sahmel, and Rainer H. (Jane) Sahmel; also many other loving relatives and dear friends. A graduate of RIT and a proud U.S. Army Veteran who will be deeply missed.
No prior calling hours. Will's Memorial Service and a Celebration of his Life will be held on WEDNESDAY, May 31st at 2 PM in the Webster Presbyterian Church (550 Webster Road, Webster 14580). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Webster Presbyterian Church.

Evan and Erika, so sorry to hear of your loss. I have fond memories of both your Dad and Mom when we were young people living our lives in Montreal. Your Dad was best man at my wedding, while your Mom was one of my bridesmaids. I certainly remember what a handsome young man he was......and charming to boot !!! Please know my thoughts are with you at this time.

So sorry to read of the passing of a long-ago Cathaway Park neighbor and friend. Special condolences to Erika and Evan, whom we remember as children. May Will's memory be for a blessing.
