William Taaffe Obituary
Penn Yan, NY: William John Taaffe, died unexpectedly on December 25, 2013 at the age of 59. He is survived by his beloved son, Braegar, a student at Keuka College and employee at the Switzerland Inn on Keuka Lake. Taaffe is also survived by his adoring sisters, Patricia Taaffe Kendall and Valerie Taaffe Held, and his treasured cousin, Michael Monahan.
Throughout his life, Taaffe held leadership positions with Iron Age, Triad Systems, Capital Aviation, and Seneca Flight Operations. More recently he was CEO of Taaffe Management Consulting, specializing in strategic business practices. Taaffe had a passion to serve his community of Penn Yan. He served on many boards and was instrumental in the expansion of the golf course of Lakeside Country Club. He served as Co-Chair of the Yates Community Endowment Committee.
