Black Onyx Hearts
I had been going through boxes in the attic when I came across them. I took them out so that I could put them in my jewelry box with my other jewelry, but not before admiring them, gazing at them fondly. (we used to be such close friends)
That week I wanted to wear my black and white Vitchy Check sundress and you decided what jewelry I would wear only I didn't know that yet.
I was taking them off that evening and my cell phone rang exactly as I set the last one down. It was Michelle ( Shawna asked her to call me) I couldn't hear a word she was saying after she said you were gone....not one word, nothing, not a sound...
Except my breath hitching when I looked over at them. Then my sight blurred as tears filled my eyes and fell.
All I could do was sit there and cry and know the black Onyx Hearts you gave me long ago, were your final "I love you friend" your silent goodbye. ( I love you to my friend..we will meet again.)
