Marcus Fredde Obituary

June 12, 1973 - April 19, 2023

So many memories come to mind as we come upon the one year mark of the day of the passing of my first born son, Marcus Shawn Fredde, Jr., April 19, 2023. We, his family and friends, want to remember  all of the best of the many memories of him. We miss him every day.

"Shawn", as his family called him, was born on June 12, 1973, in Dallas, Texas. As a child he was a blond haired, bright eyed, beautiful, inquisitive little boy, full of interests and talents. As a teenager he loved skateboarding and photography and it seemed that he excelled at everything he put his mind to, winning awards for both his photography and perfecting his abilities in skateboarding. His sister, Lindsay, said,  "one of my first memories was watching him, with such determination and passion perfecting his skateboarding skills in the alley behind our house, which instilled in me my fascination with it years later."

As he grew into adulthood and began running his own business, he was known for being an exceptionally motivated and motivating, charismatic and caring business owner. He owned a business in Denton County, Texas. A year ago, when Shawn was in the hospital, person after person came to us expressing how Shawn's actions and care for them had changed their lives. His brother, Corey, who worked alongside Shawn as his VP, said "I remember him as truly caring about his employees, giving many people second chances in life, through hiring ones that possibly wouldn't be hired by other businesses, due to past circumstances in their lives." He not only hired them, but took the time to teach them how to succeed in life, he invested in them. As one of his best friends and employees stated, "through knowing him, he gave so many people hope, inspiration and dreams, that through Jesus, we could all have a better life." I think Jay spoke for many when saying this. God used Shawn.

He also deeply loved his children, Ethan, Jayla and Caden. When asked if he had something to say, Ethan said, "that my father was a man you could always go to with any problem you may have regardless of who you are, and he would do anything within his power to help you, he was an amazing man and I love and will miss him forever." When asking Jayla if she had something to say, she said that "her dad was the most loving and God driven person that she'll ever know and that she is so eternally grateful to be able to call him her dad."

The most important decision of Shawn's life was chasing after Jesus, especially the last couple of years of his life on earth. He's now spending all eternity with Jesus and celebrating with Him for all eternity.

We look so forward to seeing you again, Shawn, and spending all eternity with you and Jesus. You were and still are loved by so many. I know that you and all those that went before you, are having such a celebration.

Our love for you, Shawn, will be tucked away in our hearts forever and will never fade.  You left a mark on many! We love you and will see you soon.

Mark, is unlike anybody I have ever met. Even before he made his peace with the Lord and became a vessel of the Lord ,he always still treated people how he wanted to be treated. Most of what I know today is because of him and his brother ,Corey. I do not know where I would be today without those 2. Everytime I had a problem ,Mark had a solution. He was larger than Life. I towered over Mark and was twice his size but I always felt like the size of an ant when he would talk and just when I would think I did something that Mark Fredde would have done ,he would do something else amazing, that I just absolutely needed to do as well.
He knew I wanted to be just like him and he was so smart that he used that ,to make us both escalate to the next level. Man he was the best boss, person ,son and most importantly, A GOOD FATHER!
YOU WILL BE MISSED TERRIBLY BROTHER!
Love You bro! -Mayo-
