My heart goes out to Donna and all of those who are directly affected by the loss of this kind and loving man. I knew Robin from our high school years, and we had a very deep "first love" experience that has lasted in my heart. He was so wonderful to talk with, about anything and everything. We reconnected sometime around 2012, and had long phone conversations catching up on our lives. His long talks helped me through a very trying divorce, and I still have the Soul Bible he mailed to me from Texas. Our birthdays are one day apart, and I never fail to think of him the day after mine. His deep caring will always be remembered. Valerie

I know my dad had to have met him with open arms and teasing him still he was pastor of University Baptist Church by default! He was a great mentor and a guiding light for many!!! I´m so sorry I´m just now finding out!

I'm so sorry to hear about Robin's death. I remember Robin when he was an early teenager in Hollywood Florida. He was the younger brother of Charles and his sister Heidi. May you rest in peace

I met Robin in 1988, when he was patrolling the lot behind the Flying Tomato to prevent students from using the business parking spaces. At that time, he was living in an old and very small 1 room apartment that was crammed floor to ceiling with his life's belongings. He used a long dowel rod to change channels on his TV because he didn't have a remote. He had a lot of ingenuity and crafted a lot of practical solutions. Despite hard times, he always made jokes and stayed positive. Robin had one of those personalities that is larger than life. He was very social and always eager to tell a story or get into a heated debate about almost any topic. As long as he was around people, he had a gleam in his eye and nobody was a stranger. In later years, when Robin reunited with the love of his life, he was the happiest I had ever seen him. It is so great that his biggest dream became a reality. Many never get that opportunity.
RIP Robin, forever in our hearts.

Robin was a special person to me. I remember him as a brother and am so grateful we reconnected. I will cherish those memories of visiting the space center and watching his delight with his love for Donna. Jesus was ready for him and he will be missed. Thoughts and prayers

When he was about to leave, he said he was sorry he had to leave us.
I wasn't sure what he meant.
Now I do.
I think we all do.
All of us who knew him and loved him.
Now we understand what he meant.

Robin was the strongest man I have ever known. His faith in God gave him that strength. Our marriage was what gave him the willpower to carry him through everything. Robin was the sweetest and most loving husband anyone could imagine. He knew what love was and how to show that love to not only me but to everyone he ever met. His friends in Texas had so many great memories of his younger years there. Heaven definitely received a gift. I will miss Robin every minute of every day. I love you so much.
