Alan C. "A.J." Johnson

64, of Iola, KS, former Denver resident, died Tuesday. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Fri., at Waugh- Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, KS. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sat. at the chapel with burial in LaHarpe, KS. A.J. was born May 14, 1947 in Denver the son of Curtis and Shirley (Kloberdanz) Johnson. He graduated from East High School in 1965 and Colorado State University in 1969. That same year he began a 40 year career with Gates Rubber Co. Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home, mother Shirley Johnson of Denver, 3 children, Vaughn Johnson & wife, Jade and Eric Johnson all of Arvada, CO and Leandra Johnson of Golden, CO, sister Linda Lecci of Greenwood Village, CO, 2 step-children, Bryan Riebel of Pittsburg, KS and Jennifer Riebel of Iola, KS, and 2 grandchildren, Michaela Riebel and Linus Johnson.
